Asc Wind - Information

The data is updated once a minute and the wind speed is a snapshot of the wind at that time.

The maximum gust is the maximum wind speed recorded in the last minute.

The wind instrument is a Wittboy Pro mounted on the top of the ASC observation tower approximately 20m above sea level.

The device may be affected by the cluhouse roof and the sea rescue tower to the SSE, depending on speed and direction at time of recording.

Please look out of the window and use your own experience and judgement when deciding whether or not to go to sea.
